Part of the deal I made with Phil during this move back to the states was "No more hiding; no more masks". I need to figure out who I am, not who I think people want me to be. This blog is part of that.
Part of what that means is that I will make the blog public after all. If I'm writing it, but still afraid to share it with people who know me, it means I'm still hiding. If I'm censoring what I think, write, and share, it's still hiding.
No more hiding. No more masks.
Yes, it means that I may sometimes offend people. Yes, it means that I may sometimes vent frustrations with what I see as people's stupidity, even if I won't say it to their faces. (I won't use names, or at least not real names if/when I do that, so if I'm talking about you and you throw a fit about it and advertise your own identity, that's on you, not me.)
So, if you choose to read this blog, you may find things about me that you didn't know about me before, and things you may not want to know. I'll try to add warnings and disclaimers at the top of posts that may need them so you can choose not to read about some subjects...but that's on you. Not me.
No more hiding. No more masks.
Is it proper for me to say "Happy hunting!"?
ReplyDeleteThis has been a year for me to concentrate more on myself as well, hence the haircut, weight loss and mega amounts of knitting (when I can find the time).
I hope you have a good journey in finding yourself.
